i've just changed the behaviour of the zoom effect so that it doesnt zoom unless you hover over the avatar for a period of time. i think that results in less annoying behaviour.

I like pics/videos, but I don't like that "zoom" effect on avatars... if you can add that into settings it would be great...

I have a trello ticket already to create a settings dialog. I'll look into adding settings to enable/disable pics/videos etc.
